Insights from the work: what clients are navigating, what I’m learning, and ways to keep growing.

Reader,

Got questions about the Enneagram? Good. So do I.

Iit’s been eight years since I first read The Road Back to You. I remember being on a plane, nearly throwing the book across the aisle because it named things I’d been seeing in myself and my family but never had the language for.

Back then, I was full of questions—especially about my type. I originally tested as a Type 2, The Helper, and I felt a strong resistance to Type 3s, The Achiever. Usually, that’s a sign we’re seeing something in ourselves we aren’t ready for yet!

After hours of self-learning, I realized I’m actually a 3 with a heavy 2 wing. I was invited to talk about that journey a few years ago with Tyler Zach—it was a great conversation that really helped clarify how those wings and motivations play out in real life.

I’ve followed Tyler’s work ever since, and his Enneasummits have become among the most formative resources for my work as an Enneagram coach.

Even as an Enneagram coach, the questions don’t stop. Lately, I’ve been thinking about the intersection of Mental Health and Type:

  • Is my Type 3 brain firing on all cylinders, or is it ADHD?
  • How do Type 7s use their "fast brain" superpower to reframe the negative?

Tyler Zach is asking these same questions. He’s gathered the top voices in Mental Health and the Enneagram for a summit starting next week (February 16th).

Check out the details here.

(Full disclosure: that's an affiliate link, but not for me—I just really believe in this work!)

The summit is incredible for high-level learning, specifically about Mental Health & The Enneagram. But if you want to take the enneagram and apply them specifically to your life and story, that’s where I can help.

If you have questions but don't know where to start, my Enneagram Exploratory Session is a 90-minute deep dive where we'll find:

  1. Clarity: Untangle the "I think I'm a Type X but act like Type Y" confusion.
  2. The "Why": Look at the heart-motives behind your current patterns.
  3. Action: Walk away with 2-3 specific ways to experience real growth.

Use code FEB26 to take $100 off your session (expires Feb 28th).

Book your Exploratory Session here.

April 2025 Reader. When we think about Mary, the mother of Jesus, most of us picture her in the birth of Jesus, or at the wedding in John 2, where she draws His attention to the need and speaks her final recorded words, “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5), or within the events of the resurrection weekend. But we see her one more time, in the upper room at Pentecost (this year, May 24, 2026). A beautiful YouTube documentary of a new artist piece If you want to sit with this part of her...

April 2025 Reader. This is a rewrite from last year. As Sabbath happens every week. While working on the Hearing Their Stories: Reading Guide, (for the podcast series found on Spotify here), I was struck by a note in my Bible: Psalm 92 is a psalm for the Sabbath—meant to be read every Sabbath. Imagine that. For thousands of years, every single Saturday (remember, Sabbath in Jewish tradition begins Friday at sundown and ends Saturday at sundown), Jewish people all over the world read Psalm 92....

February 2026 Reader. “Were you there when they crucified my Lord?” I’ve been listening to a version of that song from Tommee Profitt’s new album The Resurrection of the King. https://open.spotify.com/track/68SvQp1992P62AUdgOSqLm?si=6ce93d44e50643da (also available on YouTube and Apple Music) It’s an African American spiritual first printed in 1899, likely composed by enslaved African Americans in the 19th century. It later became the first spiritual included in a major American hymnal, and...
