Hi [First Name],

I'm writing this feeling raw, and the need to be honest with you.

I went to bed exhausted and almost crying last night. I probably should have just let myself, but this Enneagram 3, for some reason, finds tears a bit too much to bear.

The irony of trying to share with you about the incredible love of God, our Heavenly Father, whom we can trust with His timing...and going to bed feeling disappointed in myself and my brain telling me I'm a failure...was literally like God exposing what my 'little idols' or worship are. Success, results, being accomplished, put together. I'm guessing I could ask ChatGPT what god in Egypt that was; and like we showed last night, there would be more than one of them.

Success of crops; success of making bricks? Same thing for me.

So, in light of that..I am sending you the recording unedited. As much as I want to go back and not only edit but re-do the whole thing...

As much as I went to bed last night wanting it all to change; God was so kind through Lectio 365 both last night and this morning.

It all tied together. And it will make sense (hopefully) if you have a chance to sit with the recording.

Last night was reinforcing God's Name. I AM.

And then this morning was LITERALLY the verse I shared about Moses demanding God's presence to go with Him.

Moses said to the LORD, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14 The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
17 And the LORD said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”

Believe it or not, this session also really sets us up for the November session I will be continuing to study. It's one that has fascinated me for a long time: the women and their jewelry from Exodus.

Speaking of rest and talking to God, if you are able and want to join us for the October immersive weekend, there will be plenty of time for you for both! I am going to limit spots to 8 in the living room, rather than 12. It's more of a logistical piece with eating meals together. I'll be sharing it with the broader community again this week.
